Detachable towbars allow fast and efficient detachment of the bar itself, when you do not use it.
Towbars can also be detached in two directions:
Vertically – towbars attached behind a bumper so that they are almost or completely hidden (depending on the model) after detaching the ball bar.
Horizontally – the reception tube is located under the bumper and it remains there, even when you do not use the towbar.
The fixed towbars are a less expensive solution, they cost half the price of detachable towbars. Towbars like that can have so called swan neck ball – mostly for passenger vehicles or flange ball which uses two screws – often used for commercial vehicles.
